So much in one post!
I wanted to share what we've been up to. Blogging is probably my single biggest weakness as a wedding photographer. Hats off to those that do it on a regular basis. It is, however, something I'm going to attempt to do more often. When I sit down to type I often overthink what I should say or the content within each post, but this time I'm just going to let it spill out!
First and foremost we'd like to thank all of our brides that reviewed us over 2016. We're happy to say that we've won Best of the Knot for 2017 in Mississippi and Alabama for Photography and Videography! It's an honor and we're stoked that we won again this year!
We've also launched our Winter Sale which will last until January 5th. Any packages booked between now and then will be reduced by 20%! This means stupid money saved if you're planning your wedding, or maybe you'll read this and come back to visit us if something amazing and magical happens over Christmas or the New Year!
So get excited! We are.
Moving forward we have Carlie and Noah, a couple we shot engagements for recently. I love it when a couple is comfortable with us and themselves. Carlie and Noah were so natural and a joy to work with. We traveled down to Biloxi for this shoot.
Check out 2 of our favorites below!
We'd also like to introduce the newest member of our family, Thumbelina, or Lina for short. Believe it or not she's actually very camera shy. I had to wait till she calmed down to take this picture. She didn't cooperate very well.
She's a Great Dane and a total mess, but so much fun! She's 10 weeks old and already 30 lbs!
Lastly, I'd like to just say after shooting with Nikon for a few years, I decided to make the jump back to Canon with the release of the 5d Mark IV. It's been out for a little while now. The colors on Canon just can't be beaten. This is even more clear when you have a Nikon on the same shoot and comparing the two. I love the dynamic range I got out of the D750 but I'm not seeing anything I'm missing since the switch.
Most of you know we offer photography and video. The goal was to get a camera body that could serve as an all purpose solution. I feel I achieved this by going with the 5dmk4. The 4k crop in video is a little frustrating but the low light performance and the ability to grab 8.8 MP stills out of any video . . . is insane! The video stills are sharp and the quality is incredible as long as you're not doing huge prints.
We've shot a few weddings with it, multiple bridal / engagements and have been nothing short of astounded at the quality and colors!
Thanks for checking out the blog post!
Until next time,
